The challenge
The site sat between a twin train route and a public road, leaving no slack in the logistics envelope. Work adjacent to the live rail line required tightly controlled sequencing and bespoke crane-lift planning.
Delivery
Maveric self-delivered the package using drive-length sheet piling and a Berliner wall retaining system, with well-point dewatering maintained through the basement works. Buried services were exposed using vacuum excavation, and crane lifts were planned around the live rail corridor and public road.
Safety & quality
UXO survey and ordnance clearance were completed ahead of intrusive works, including the controlled removal of live anti-tank ordnance. Vacuum excavation was used around existing utilities, supported by soil testing and grid-layout category management.
Outcome
The enabling works and underground services package handed over a prepared platform with the underground infrastructure installed.
